to go from one place to another, as by car, train, plane, or ship; take a trip; journey:

(Dictionary.com Travel Definition)

I want to travel because staying in one place for too long makes me restless. I have a wandering soul, and I long to discover the far away places that I may not even know exist. The world is a wide place and we know little of the cultures that share this same planet with us. It would be ignorant to stay placed in our comfort zones, and not at least take a peek into the culture of other human beings. It ignites a fire, and a whole lot of curiosity to know that we all share one thing. That would be the fact that we are the human race, but other than that, our cultures are so exquisitely unique to us. I desire to get a glimpse into the eyes of others and see their lives, their customs, their traditions, and their passions. I think a better question would be, why would you not want to travel?

Why do you want to travel?

*A pretty universal question, so allow some of my closest friends to answer that question for this months mood board.*

Meghan: “I would like to travel to gain experiences. Throughout life, we gather “stuff” with our money. With travel, we gain memories no one else can have.”

Maddie: “I want to travel to learn about new places and open my mind. Exploring new areas whether they’re major cities or not has always been something I enjoy. I like traveling because it teaches you about yourself and others. It allows people to get a glimpse of what it’s like outside of their everyday bubble.”

Richie: ” I’d love to travel to other countries to see how they do things and what’s different than ours.”

Connor: “I travel because seeing other places in the world is so interesting! I love knowing how things are and experiencing other ways of living. Also sometimes it’s good to get away from your home and just take a break from responsibilities.”

Mae: “To escape my reality, that sounds dark. Also to learn.”

Aaliyah: “To explore new cultures and environments that I didn’t even know existed. Choosing not to travel is like choosing to live a sheltered life having no idea what’s out there.”

Carrie: “I would have to say because I want to see places that usually most people only see in movies or on TV and I want to see them in person.”

So, my loyal readers, why do you want to travel? Drop a comment and let me know.

Stay tuned for next months mood board!!

as always, enjoy.
